Winter's coming in early; the geese know it and so do my knees. Folk at the Lodge need cloaks, and the little ones at Farmhold need blankets worse, with half their houses burned. Wolf-pelts, dearie. Eight good ones. The dark wolves have the thicker fur, but a pelt's a pelt.

Don't bring me any with holes in. Well. Not many holes.

On completion

Lovely, lovely. Thick as a bishop's purse. I'll have these cut and stitched by first frost. And here's one for you, sewn from the best of them. No, don't argue with an old woman; it's bad luck and worse manners.
